Quality and Accuracy

Summer/Fall   2005

About our Products

In our laboratory in Colorado, we produce polyurethane replicas so close to the originals in form that even the minutest detail is reproduced. Our master molder produces each cast by hand and each piece is rigorously inspected before it is allowed to go on to the next stage for color finishing. Our painter spends up to eight hours on larger pieces and equal attention on smaller pieces. Each piece is hand painted to match the original fossil.

We are presently producing two types of finish for each fossil. The first is called Museum Quality which simply means that each piece after casting is hand painted with acrylics and enamels to match the original in color. The second finish we call Study Grade. This is a simplified coloration or painting compatible with the original but not a color duplicate.

Announcements

It has been a little more than four years since we first went on the internet to display our fossil reproductions. We are truly overwhelmed by the responses from you and and wish to thank one and all of you. Many of you have come up to us at the Denver and Tucson Fossil Expos and introduced yourselves in person and of course we are always happy to meet you.

As you may recall, we are a non-profit corporation specializing in education by way of fossil reproductions. Our laboratory is also able to prepare and restore your fossils.

Thank you, again, for your ideas and support. -Larry & John
